Walk-In Care Model
Arizona Endocrinology of Tempe operates on a walk-in basis — no appointments needed — because we believe great care happens face-to-face. Please check AETempe.com or Google Maps for current hours, as we are closed weekends (subject to change).
Wait Times
Care is provided first-come, first-served, with VIP Members (see program details) seen without wait as a benefit of their membership. We respect your time by keeping visits efficient and focused, minimizing unnecessary waiting while ensuring you receive the personalized care you deserve.
Communication
All communication — refills, results, questions, and updates — is handled in person during a walk-in visit; we intentionally do not take calls, texts, or portal messages, because we'd rather spend our time giving you great care in person than managing messages.
Refills
Refills are picked up in person with a quick Medical Assistant visit (goal: under 10 minutes), and every patient is required to see a physician every three (3) months and a Medical Assistant every four (4) weeks to continue receiving medication.
Emergencies
For a life-threatening emergency (see your Informed Consent for warning signs), call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room; for a non-emergency side effect or concern, walk in during our next available hours.
Missed Appointments
A $100 missed-appointment fee applies only to scheduled surgical procedures (e.g., pellet placement), as outlined in your financial agreement; all other visits are walk-in and this fee does not apply.
Controlled Substances
Controlled substances are prescribed and dispensed only to the patient named on the prescription, only after an in-person visit, with no early refills, and always at physician discretion in accordance with state and federal law.
Lab Timing
Lab requirements (fasting, timing, and location) will be provided to you on a separate lab instruction sheet; results from labs drawn in our office are available within 8 calendar days, and outside lab results must be provided as a downloaded physician-view PDF (screenshots not accepted).
Results
All results are reviewed with you in person during a walk-in visit — we do not release results by phone, text, or portal.
HIPAA
We communicate protected health information directly with the patient whenever possible. We do not discuss a patient's medical information with spouses, family members, friends, employers, or other third parties unless the patient provides written authorization or disclosure is otherwise required or permitted by law.
